ManhattanHenge - Photos of NYC

Here are some wonderful photos of NYC, the city we love. During this unusually mild and wet summer we have received some spectacular sunsets and experiences with light. Enjoy the photos as you think of the city.

"a biannual occurrence in which the setting sun aligns with the east-west streets of Manhattan’s main street grid. The term is derived from Stonehenge, at which the sun aligns with the stones on the solstices". ~Wikipedia

  1. Hi Rafael, love receiving your blog updates. One day the Hanleys from Australia will come back and visit you in New York. Our daughter, Monique, the cyclist crashed on her bike in Tulsa and is now home recovering from an operation on her shoulder! My friends, Bernie and Sue Gleeson, will be staying with you soon. I hope they love NY too. Best wishes, Kaye Hanley

  2. Hi Kaye,
It is really good to hear from you, the Hanleys are always welcome in our house and NYC. I am sorry to hear about Monique. I hope she gets better soon.

I am looking forward to meet your friends. We will treat them well, and I am sure they will enjoy the NY. Cheers! - r
